This Threw Me Off My Seat

Come December is when I start knitting furiously as I love giving away scarves for Christmas... and when i do this, I love to "listen" to TV on the sofa. Scrolling on my comcast remote... I saw on the program... PBS Great Performance: Hitman David Foster & Friends... and I selected it. Right away, I heard someone sing the ending part of St.Elmo's Fire song... and next Katherine McPhee came on (I ran and quickly switched on the amplifier).. and oh my... her voice... her pretty face and her pretty voice... it has surely grown.. I was impressed as the last I saw her was the final of American Idol where she "lost". I just love what I saw as she certainly has improved and now looks professional... Like a Mom that is proud of her child... I was proud to see how much she has grown professionally... I "YouTubed" her on this special.. and found her clip... plus my favorite Renee Olstead... so enjoy what I did last night.....

p/s.. I don't usually buy DVDs.. I'm thinking of getting this DVD as it has a great list of singers performing. (damn public library doesn't have it or I'd borrow it)

Malaysia that still makes me smile...

I've been reading the political news in Malaysia and it sickens me to see how much injustice and abuse of power is occuring. These few rotten politicians will not make me forget how beautiful are the people of malaysia... I found this on youtube and it just reminded me of how I would sing this song in school and how fun we Malaysians are at heart. Enjoy!!! Music from the Past

Today I've not been in the best of mood. I just didn't feel like talking much to anyone so phone calls and IMs were ignored. What did I do tonight to make myself feel better?? YOUTUBE. Yes I was just "youtub-ing" and what did I youtube?? PETER CETERA. He has always been my one that melts my heart. Listening to him sing brings back all old memories.. yes of all my party days and days of going gaga over certain guy. No... I don't long for any of my old flames but just a nice nostalgic feeling that comes whenever I hear Peter Cetera's voice. Man... would it be nice for him to just serenade to me.... if only my hubby can sing like him... dream....

I managed to request some song books from the library. Maybe I'll just pretend to play for Cetera while he serenades me.

Watch This!!!

I was laughing so much when my gf called and told me to check my email. This cute thing by jibjab is so funny. Only thing that makes it funny is when the people in it is someone you know. My kids were laughing so much when we showed this to them. My friend had added my kids' and her kids' photos into this video. It was so weird to see a 9 month baby doing the jiggle.

Sweet Memories

During my days in Convent Klang (in the late 80s), a friend introduced me to Jazz and the song that stuck with me was Garden Party by Mezzaforte. They are an Iceland band so getting a CD of them in USA is pretty hard and costly. I was so excited to find this clip on Youtube. Don't you love YouTube. Enjoy this song as it does brighten my day whenever I listen to it. Hwee Zee if you are reading this... this one is for you!
